      Tech Theater: Thursdays, 4p.m.       1.5 hours

Season Duration: September to June (64 classes)

Registration and Tuition Fee: $90 due upon registering, includes a one-time online $25 registration fee plus a $65 first-month tuition installment (non-refundable even with a 30 day notice)

Students engage in fun-filled learning activities aimed at developing confidence, self-esteem, and verbal communication skills

The developmental drama program offers unique opportunities for children to develop clear speech, fluent delivery, and social skills.

Building confidence equips students to actively participate in various aspects of their lives, including asking questions, seeking answers, and sharing information.

Showcase: All students will perform in a showcase in June.

 This program provides a supportive environment for youth to explore and enhance their communication skills while fostering personal growth and confidence.

Tech Theater Program Description:

Class will explore the backstage world of theater. Students will investigate several areas of production and design. Students will be given the opportunity to learn about the following areas of technical theater production:

 • Theater and Shop Safety

 • Scenic design fundamentals and set construction

 • Technical aspects and basic operation of lighting technology

 • Technical aspects and basic operation of sound technology

 • Scenic painting 

• Use of properties on stage and construction

 • Theater History 

• Exploration of career opportunities in the realm of theater

*End of season performances will be a Musical and A One Act Play. Students will have the option to apply what they have learned performing as the Tech Crew for these shows. This is optional and has no additional fees.
